THE Missionary Catechists of St. Therese of the Infant Jesus (MCST), based in Tayabas City, Quezon province, is among the latest beneficiary of the wheelchair donation program of the Batalla Cares Foundation (BCF) with the support of the National Press Club of the Philippines (NPC).

Five brand new wheelchairs requested by the Catholic ministry were handed over thru Sister Elsa Ciar Belen on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the BCF office in Makati City, based on the request sent to BCF founder, Dr. Carlo Batalla, by MCST Superior General Mother Teodora G. San Juan. Since 2017, the BCF has already distributed more than 60,000 wheelchairs all over the country. Batalla is also the chair of the Crime and Corruption Watch International (CCWI) a civil society organization advocating for good governance and transparency in all government transactions.
